The Government Mule

"Government" Mule

You may get “beat” like a Government Mule if you drink too many of these beauties…

One quick post before the Forth of July celebrations begin… As you may have guessed by now, one of my favorite summertime cocktails is the Moscow Mule. Love em’ but I wanted to mix things up a bit for our weekend neighborhood picnic and Independence Day party. So I came up with this beauty and I’m calling it the Government Mule. It will beat you like a “Government Mule” if you drink too many and I’m listening to one of my favorite bands, “Gov’t Mule” while writing this! Ha!  It all makes sense right?

On a side note, “Mules” are always served in these cool copper mugs because they make your drink super cold. Since you probably don’t have time to run out and get any, a red solo cup or even a beer mug would work just fine! FYI, I picked up my mugs at TJ Maxx/Home Goods for $5 a mug, my liquor store sells the same dang ones for $20 a mug. So shop around! Finally, if your not into liquor, omit it, it’s really refreshing without it too!

Have a happy Forth of July, count your blessings, be safe, don’t get too “lit” up and don’t drink and drive! ENJOY!
