Zesty Horseradish BBQ Sauce on Beef Ribs
Zesty Horseradish BBQ Sauce on Beef Ribs is a play on prime rib with horseradish sauce on the side! The flavors are made for each other!

  • 8-10 pound Beef back ribs
  • All Purpose Beef Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons granulated onion
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • For the Zesty Horseradish BBQ Sauce
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 3-4 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dried mustard
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, salt, garlic, onion, pepper, chili powder and brown sugar and mix well. Set aside. (make extra and store in an airtight container for later use).
  2. In a medium sized pot, add the ketchup, Worcestershire, horseradish, vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic, onion, mustard pepper, and salt. Stir to combine well, cover and simmer over low heat for ½ hour. Set aside.
  3. To prepare the ribs, heat your grill to 225 degrees. Liberally coat each side of your rack of ribs with the dry rub. Place bone side down and cook for 5-6 hours. Each hour spray with apple juice or your favorite beer. On hour 5, begin to baste the ribs with the sauce every 15 minutes or so.
  4. After hour 6 remove and serve with extra sauce!
Wow! This dry rub and BBQ sauce would be great on any type of beef.
